mud telnet login via a website

Hi,
I am building a website and I want to have a direct telnet link to that mud on the webpage.
But I encouter the problem that this is not possible with the latest brower/windows versions.
Did anybody else encouter a similar problem? And if so how can it be solved? Via a javascript?

This is a website for Zuggsoft software including the CMUD mud client. This particular forum is dedicated to problems with this website and not websites in general. But to answer your question you should be looking at using the telnet:// url.
