Dang Auto Append! |
This has to be the most irritating feature of Cmud I've found so far.
When I want the system to do an alias or do something inside the mud, I do NOT want that 1 at the end.
Sample code:
0068 ALIAS doidle (-1) <?> (class Healing System)
How do I turn this off for ALL aliases? |

The short answer is, you don't yet. It'd be really nice if there were a function or command you could use that you could then batch through all your aliases with. It's only turned on for imported zMUD aliases.
The question is, which annoyance is higher - the annoyance of people going OMG WHY HAS CMUD STOPPED PUTTING MY ARGUMENTS AT THE END or people having to go through hundreds of aliases checking the little box? I'm betting the latter, though the former generates the bulk of the email. I'd suggest removing the automatic appending and adding a check to the compatability report that checks for aliases that're only one word long and flags them for possible auto-appending, since that's all that auto append is good for anyway. |

See, the thing is, this isn't happening on importing Zmud scripts. I started my system anew and it's doing the same. Plus, from what I can see from searching, Auto append is off, and checking the box makes no difference.

Nevermind my stupidity. Apparently it's there, but isn't actually using the 1. Thanks for the help.

Is there any way to turn it off BEFORE you import your Zmud script by chance?
Cause for some reason, if I manually add all my triggers and so on, it tends to error, and I lose most of the work I was doing, which is really irritating.
If it's being worked on, I appreciate that but if there is a quick fix, please let me know. |
