Next Release ETA |
Hey Zugg, I know almost all of your energy is going into getting zMUD into the public version with the Simutronics support, but is there any idea when you'll release a new zMapper Beta with the newer versions of eLicense?

You know I don't do "release dates". There is just too much unknown involved in trying to guess exactly when something will be ready. I release stuff when it's ready.
With that said, I'm hoping to have the public zMUD released late this week. Then, I'll need several days next week to clean up any problems that might remain and to upload the public version to all of the various download sites, update the marketing, and boring stuff like that.
Then I'll turn to zMapper and get it recompiled with the latest speed fixes and new elicense. This will take several days as there is some code in zMapper that is duplicated rather than "shared" that I'll have to modify to match the changes that I made in the shared code.
So, at this point, all I can say is that I'm pretty confident that you'll see the new zMapper (and a new zExplorer to go with it) by the end of April. It will probably be sooner, but that's as specific as I can get at this point. The zMUD Public version has taken much longer than I thought.
