I believe there should be an easy way to export JUST a zone from my database as a .MAP file. That way the zmapper users could send zMUD maps to zMUD users and they can import the maps into their Mapper database using the zMUD import option, similar to the way zMUD currently imports maps from it's old databases.

This is planned for a future version of zMapper. You can already do it to some extent with the current import/export features of zMapper, but it's a bit complicated and requires some database knowledge/experience.
You'll certainly be able to import/export zones with zMapper in the future. I don't yet know if this ability will be added to zMUD however.
Oh, and this ability will NOT use the old *.MAP file formats. There is no way to support many of the extended features with zMapper using the old MAP files. Any import/export will be done with a much different file format. |
