Stupid question, but I'm having trouble with merging two seperate CMUD windows

into one window with tabs

I have tried to move the window that is loose and not merged to tab.

How can I resolve that problem

One window looks like a main window and the other looks like a smallish window that is outside of the main window
i can move it around but can't merge it, for some reason

All I want to do is be able to open a new session into a tabbed window

not open an seperate window that cant be switched by tab.

Make sure you have everything right in Preferences>User Interface>Window Options. Especially unchecked 'Use ALT for docking'.

Try also double clicking on that small window title bar (on the top).

Make sure your layout isn't locked, too (under the layout menu at the top of the screen).

Been trying.

Nothing is working.

PM me if you can assist me in a remote session.
