How do I import a .zmud file to cmud?

I was given a sample.zmud from a friend, and I'm sure it's been asked and answered, and I'm kinda sick tonight, so I just wanted a quick answer...

Thanks!

Er... there's no such thing as a .zmud file, as far as I'm aware. Unless it was used by a much older version of zMUD, anyway. zMUD files use the .mud extension.

Lots of ways to do that.

1) If you just want to load it to look at it, then open CMUD, close the Session window, click the Settings button to open the package editor, then select File/Open and locate the sample.mud file and open it. CMUD will open and convert any old *.MUD file.

2) If you want to create a MUD session that uses an old *.MUD file, then open CMUD, click New Session to create a new session icon, then click on the Files tab and click the Browse button to locate the sample.mud file. Then click Save and Open Offline and you will open a session that uses the *.MUD file that you loaded.

3) If you have an existing zMUD installation and want to transfer one of your existing characters into CMUD, then open CMUD, and from the Session window menu select File/Import zMUD. Tell it where your zMUD files are located and click Next and it will show a list of all your zMUD characters. Select a character(s) and click the Import button to load them into CMUD.
