cMapper Idea

Which is the better folder for this... CMUD or zMapper?

Anyways, on to the idea.

Sub-Zones - More then one zone that is displayed on a single map.

Example

Zone name: City Buildings
Sub-Zones: Pawn, Gems, Furs, Alchemy, Town Hall, ect

Reason: exits would display the Sub-Zone name (if available) over the Zone name.

The CMUD forum is the proper place. cMapper/zMapper is a standalone map file editor and doesn't have much to do with the map display within the CMUD client. In other words, if you are running the CMUD.EXE program, then post in the CMUD forum. If you are running ZMAPPER.EXE or CMAPPER.EXE, then post in this zMapper forum.

Anyway, back to your suggestion. You can already group zones into a tree-hierarchy. So you can already have subzones within a zone. But the mapper can only display one zone at a time, and this won't change. Zones have specific properties, such as background images, scaling factors, etc, that are different from zone to zone, so the mapper can only display one at a time.

You'll need to be a bit more specific with the description of what you want to do. In other words, explain what you'd like to do and don't try to worry about exactly how it might be implemented. Then we won't get into terminology issues.

I want to display the name of the single building an exit is heading too instead of the name of the whole zone.

You can already do that. Go to the Properties of the room and then select the Exits tab. Then click on the exit that is leading to the other zone and enter a different label into the "Link label" field. CMUD will display your link label instead of the normal zone label.
