Zmud missing zmud.dat file

Zmud 7.05 was working perfectly fine for me, but I saw that 7.11 had come out so I went for the upgrade. When it finished upgrading, I opened zmud and my #cap windows started looping infinitely, so I decided I would just go back to 7.05. After uninstalling 7.11 and installing 7.05 again, it couldn't open because it was missing the zmud.dat file. I thought I'd try 7.11 again, and same result with missing the zmud.dat file. Any ideas?

You cannot load an older version of zMUD into the same directory as a new version. The file formats are different and the old versions will not be able to read your settings files. So, basically you have gotten your zMUD directory all messed up. You should install the zMUD 7.11 to a new directory on your computer and then it should work.
