Automapper

I'm not sure which forum this belongs in but I'm guessing this one.

I currently run a w2k system (service pack 3) and using zmud 6.4 and zmapper 1.15beta.

At the momoment I am finding using the automapper to be a very painful experience. When mapping a new zone, it take between 10 and 20 seconds for the mapper to read the room description (between 2 and 5 lines of text), create the room and add the exits. When mapping zones of several hundred rooms it can take several hours under the new release. Under the old release it took 2-3 seconds per room.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can try to improve this? if its of any use the mud mdb file is approx 8mb in size.

Forgot to add that:
- cannot get the add bend to room link to work.
- after conversion of the maps to the new format many rooms have mulitple exits in the same direction going nowhere ie 3 exits east
- after conversion many of the links using special commands such as enter waterfall have had the destination room removed.

There are several posts regarding mapper slowness with older mdac versions(the software used to communicate with the database) You should install MDAC version 2.7 (Win2k with SP3 gives you MDAC 2.52)

There are several posts which give the links to follow to get the proper MDAC version.
