6.40 license problems

I am a legal user and since upgrading to 6.40 I now get a error that says: Unable to install or get license. Retrieval of license failed with error code = 17. All renewable licenses are currently active- no license is available at this time. This would be great but I only have zmud on one computer. It works fine if I remove 6.40 and use 6.1... Is there something I can do to correct this? I have tried to unlicense zmud and redo it but again it won't allow. What's next?
