Conversion and editing maps in 6.40

This 6.40 is looking good. A niggle on the conversion though. :-)

When you have a series of rooms that form a maze, ie going north brings you to the next room but not from the south be say the east. If you have drawn the links between rooms adding bends to them the conversion process to 6.40 messes them up. The rooms are in the right place there are links in the right place but the extra bends are in the wrong place. Seems that the left and right hand links get swapped. Hope the formatting comes out right in the example, (nope the html looses the spaces os ignore the '.' :-( )
X Y are rooms,
a,b,c,d are bends

This was from 6.16
a-b
| |
X |

. c-d

6.40 (doh cannot do diagonals should join b to c)
b-a

..X
...
...Y

...d-c

well hopefully that explains the problem. Ok, so I can simple just redo the maps by hand, like I said a niggle. Zugg if you want an example look at the zone MYST from the maps I sent you before. Or I can resend the single zone.

This next one is a bug unless I'm in the wrong mode :-)

If you want to draw the same type of links above from scratch you cannot with 6.40. You used to be able to click on the little line in the drawing tool box thingy. Click on the start room and then click to create a new bend and carry on drawing the link to the end room. This does not work in 6.40, it simply snaps back to an exit stub on the start room.

What makes it worse is that right clicking on a link and selecting add bend does not add a bend so you cannot use relink and then add bends.

The thing with locking and using the right mode, can we have a toggle switch to turn it off. So if, I like many people want to be able to do tweaks without switching modes we can. Have the default as locked.

Thanks
Zaf
