elicense - error code 31 |
When trying to unlicense zMUD I get this error:
"First stage of unlicensing could not complete!
Unlicense pending failed with error code 31.
The system identifier used to generate the license for this
system cannot be retrieved.
The license cannot be unlicensed".
I also noticed that I have two licenses in the elicense control panel:
zMUD 6.32 Licensed
zMUD 6.40 Licensed
Does anyone have any idea on what is wrong?

This is not the exact error I have seen, but my guess is that it is related. If so, eLicense should already be working to solve this.
You might want to try e-mailing eLicense anyway.

Is there anyway to see how many free licenses you have? I might have to do a reinstall soon of my operating system, and it would be bad if I lost all the licenses .

There isn't any way to tell how many licenses you have other than contacting us or eLicense. But don't worry if you run out, we can always reset them.
The code 31 is a side effect of "fixing" the Unlicense issue for the new version. It turns out that at some point in the past, some licenses got messed up by one of the zMUD versions, and those licenses can't be unlicensed easily. So, we fixed the major code 501 issue, but now some people will get the code 31. I got this myself this morning. eLicense was able to fix it for me, so just email them at support@elicense.com.
