I only encounter this problem when zmud is active apparently any suggestions?

Long shot, but is this by any chance a laptop or other keyboard with the numeric keypad on shifted letter keys?

okay i have figured out the problem but not the solution
problem: im on a laptop and when zmud is active it turns on my num lock there bye screwing up my key board.
