MUD ips etc... |
If your MUDs IP or DNS has changed recently the only way to keep it current with Zmud's listing is to keep it updated with Mudconnector right? And it will get updated when a new zmud is released..or is there a better way?
Thanks. |

When you are looking at the listr of MUDs, there is an Update button. Use it to have the newest MUDs and the latest information on existing ones.

If your MUD has a hostname (which it most likely does), you can just tell that to zMUD and if the IP changes, the DNS records for the hostname should be updated to point to the new IP.
That seems a bit confusing so I think I'll provide a more concrete example: My MUD, www.wotmud.org, is now 12.14.84.254 but was 12.14.84.252 for a few days... people who connected by putting in the IP address had to reconfigure their connections but those who connected to www.wotmud.org didn't have to do anything like that since it reflected the correct IP all the time.

ok, well my problem is that our dns has changed from forsakenlands.net to forsakenlands.org due to a DNS squatter. I just downloaded the latest zmud (subscriber) and the listed DNS is still incorrect. Is the correct proceedure to work through mudconnector?
