Upgrading Zmud! |
I have ZMUD 6.16 can I UPGRADE ZMUD without having to register with elicence?
like if I install the NEW beta OVER 6.16 will it still be registered and work right? |

Yes. If you install a new version of zMUD on the computer, it should use the same license as 6.16. If you do install over 6.16, your best bet is to backup your data just in case.
I think you'll like all the features added since the last public release.

so if I download the new beta. and install it in the same DIR as my 6.16 it will overwrite and upgrade the files ok? and use hte same number? it wont ask me to enter my Serial Number again>?

It will not ask you to reinsert your reg number again, though you should backup the entire directory before you install a newer version. Just call it zMUD Backup or something of the sort. Then when you reinstall and you dont like what came from it, then you can still copy the new install over with your backup and be restored to your old version. But the good thing is, that if you install a new version or install a new version then put your backup over it, you don't have to worry about reinserting your key. So don't worry about that being a problem.

That is correct.
As has been previously mentioned in the thread, however, you should make a backup of the directory just in case you need to go back.
