How to copy a layout from an existing character

Here's what I want to do. I have a character already created on MUD1 with loads of scripts, a cool layout and huge maps.

Now, I want to create a new character on MUD2, so I don't want the maps, but I want the layout and all the aliases, triggers, gauges, etc.

Is there an easy way to do this without just setting them all up again?

Cheers.

The settings are saved in a file called MUDName.mud. Copy this file to copy the settings. The layout is saved in a file called MUDName.lay. Again, copy this file to copy the layout.

To have them set up for the other character, open the Character Selection screen and click on the Edit button. Go to the Files tab and select the copied .mud file in the Settings box and the copied .lay file in the Layout box. Make sure Use Layout is also selected.

Thanks Kjata, just one thing though, I more or less did this already and it used the maps from MUD1 - presumably pointing to that directory rather than the MUD2 directory. I was hoping to create new maps.

Just open the mapper in the other character and select File|New. Then save the map with a different name.

Brill. Thanks for that. I'll go give it a go.

By the way, the software rocks...
