zMUD & JavaScrpit%) |
Hello! I've got a question. For pkilling in zMUD usually there is no pretty lot's of stuff: like flag [Target] with all characters, who is on your pk-range, highlaight when somebody is coming in room where you are staying, automatic changing variables if you are fighting with somebody, changing pk-list, so you can really easy see, who is your enemies, changing list of characters, which are in your pk-range & really lot's off little stuff, which could be really helpful:) Not very long time ago i heard, that it's possible to write down little program by tourself, on JavaScript, and you can "put" zMUD and this program together:) main question is, how actually it's possible?:)
Sorry for my english, it's second language, so...
Can explain more clear, if somebode will need it%))) |

Currently only the beta version supports JScript/VBScript. If you are willing to put up with the possible bugs found in beta version and understand that you may loose your settings or some of your other data (this can be avoided, of course, by doing a backup) then you could download the beat version to try it out. If you do not want this, then a public version should be too long now which will include these capabilities.
Anyway, in the beta version, there are two other tabs when creating a script: JScript and VBScript. If you select one of these, you may enter cod ein there either in JScript or VBScript respectively. You should also know that some basic knowledge of COM (or at least zMUD's COM implementation) is necessary to do anything useful with zMUD.

Of course, a lot of the stuff that you mention you could program within a zMUD script itself without even using JavaScript. And unless you are already an expert in COM programming and JavaScript, just doing it in zMUD is probably easier.
