zMUD Multiplaying Aliases |
Is it possible to set up an alias when typed on one command prompt for one character, the alias will make each character being played do the same? I play a mud where MultiPlay is encouraged, and having 2 or 3 characters open at once is quite common. However, it is very fast paced, and hard to function clicking to switch screens constantly.

From Introduction to Multiplaying in the helpfile:
(quote)
To send commands to a different window, precede your command with name: where name is the name of the window you wish to get focus, and : is the focus character (which can be changed in the Preferences). The indicated window will be brought to the top and focused, and the command will be sent to that character. To send a command to a different window without changing the focus, precede your command with :name: where name is the name of the window you want to command sent to. In this case, your current window will be unchanged. If you do not specify any window name, and just enter :hi then hi will be sent to all windows.
(endquote)
Note the last sentence in particular.

Thank you so much! Great having all my aliases typed on one screen and being done on the right character! Truely a evolution in my multiplaying!

Also, you can use the #all command to make all sessions do whatever you want.
