Upgrading to the Beta version |
Everytime I log into Zmud, it asks if I want to upgrade to the new beta version. Each time I hit the yes button it starts teh download/install. each time it gets to about 75% it gives me an error (can't remember it right now) and then crashes Zmud. I have tried this with and without my anti-virus running. Anyone have any ideas?

This is a known bug. Zugg is working hard to fix this, but he isn't able to reproduce it in his computer at all. So far, we have found no pattern among those of us who get the error.

Thx for the update. What OS does Zugg use? I have ME on my system and its a 1.5GHz system. Could it be an OS issue?

He has, that I know of, at least Win 2K and XP. He may have some other one in one of his other computers.
However, it does not appear to be simply an OS issue because it happens to me with Win XP and also to others win Win 2K, 95, 98 and NT.

What you could do now is first, say No the next time you start zMUD. This should put an end to the question coming up. Second, download and install the latest beta version from the Downloads page. Backing up your current version first would be strongly recommended.
