Bad net lag...trying for a proxy solution....

One of the routers between the mud I play and my cable system is really bad. I'm looking for a way to go around it. I thought maybe trying to proxy into another source then on to the mud would help. But I can't figure out how to connect to the mud through any of the proxy's I've found. The mud is on port 4000 and none of the proxy's will accept that.

Obviously, you'll have to find a proxy which will accept port 4000. No, I don't know of any. However, I don't use proxies so I don't know of any that accept any port. Good luck.

Oh, the alternative would be to find another MUD you enjoy which uses a port the proxies do accept (or doesn't go through the bad router).
