emote and semote problems

I type an emote and hit enter, but I only see the yellow text of submission, and not the emote itself. When I type semotes, I don't see anything when I hit enter. Also, I do not see myself in the who list. The admins/imms tell me that they are all coming through, but I still can't get my program to work. I still can't see anything. I am using zmud 6.16.
I even reinstalled WindowsXP and i still get the same problem. Does anyone know what i could do??

Is your password, by any chance, your MUD name or is it part of your name? zMUD, by default, gags any line that contains your password. This is why using a common word, and worse yet, your name, is never recommended. If, in fact, this is the cause of the problem, then you can disable the gagging of the password by clicking on the Prefs button and disabling the Gag password option under Script Parser.
