elicense

I bought Zmud many years ago and about every 3 months it asks me to re-license it aka E-License. In the past this has not been a problem. However, this time I get the following Error message.

Request date invalid, check system clock error code 12004. I have emailed zugg and elicense and have not had any response can someone please help me??!! And btw if any one from the zugg or zmud team read these boards this elinense this is total crap I am tired of going through this every 3 months right in the middle of playing a game and dieing becuase of it. I about to the point of deleting it from my hard drive and buying a different client. Take this E-license crap out it F*&^#@@! sucks!

Whee, where do we start? These posts are always fun. Anyway, I'm restraining myself here...

If you get that error, check to make sure that your computer's clock has the correct time and date. Many times, people check that the time is correct, but the date is not and this could also cause the problem.

If that doesn't solve it, then try e-mailing first support@elicense.com first and, if necessary, support@zuggsoft.com. Now, you should remember that e-mails do get lost, and people are not perfect (they tend to sometimes make mistakes, like overlooking an e-mail).

Next, the need for re-licensing every three months is for your own benefit. Suppose that you didn't need to re-license (a license never expired) and you lose a license (hard drive crashed, upgraded OS and forgot to unlicense, etc.), this would mean that that license would be lost, forever. If this happens two more times, you just lost the money you paid for zMUD. Now, if licenses expire every 90 days, the worst thin that can happen is that you need to wait 90 days for a license to expire and be able to use it again.

Finally, eLicense is here to stay. If you don't like eLicense, why don't you try making a copy protection program that does everything eLicense does, has no bugs or problems, and provides a higher level of security than the copy protection scheme Zugg had in previous versions (and that is a lot, since Zugg's copy protection was very secure.) If you do that, you might just find Zuggsoft as a client of yours.

1.Thats something I'v not noticed, asking for your code mid session.

2.The date on computers tend to get put back some older demo programs fall for this and reset/put back their 30 day timer, Like older ver's of Zmud did. >:> (I'm not saying that these are the reasons YOUR PC's clock maybe out.)

3.Well bye then what do they care if you use a diffrent client they already have you money it will be your loss. (They do have your money don't they?... Not useing a KeyGen are you??)

Black Dragon :Fully licensed and happy with Zmud and Zuggsoft for some time.

I am also happy with elicense, I bought Zmud ALONG time ago close to five years ago, after 2 computer crashes I forgot I had done so and had gotten out of mudding altoghether, untill recently I emailed Zugg and got my number again. Although I have to say one thing finding out where to put that number in was a bit confusing even with all instructions on how to do it.

But over all I am still impressed with how Zugg has managed to put it all together and produce a great program
