Alias with variables

I'd like to be able to use variables in my alias names. For example, if I had an alias to do something that goes in the middle of the command, such as an alias to hop on someone's back called hop.

hop blahblah
emote hops on blahblah's back and wiggles around.

Would something such as this be possible? Right now I can only do the same thing through sending myself tells to set off triggers. Please tell me if there is a better way. Thanks :)

#ALIAS hop {emote hops on %-1~'s back and wiggles around.}

hop blahblah
emote hops on blahblah's back and wiggles around.

#ALIAS whap {emote whaps %1 on the back of the head with %-2}}

whap blahblah a shiny black sword
emote whaps blahblah on the back of the head with a shiny black sword.
