priority of triggers

in tintin one would append a {#} and have that trigger be prioritized with that number (ie it would appear first in the linked list of triggers to match on)

Is there any way to do that with zmud? :-) I have a number of classes and want to be able to prioritze on a class by class basis with the triggers in those classes able to over ride the priority :-)

(Caveat: if zmud uses a hash table for the triggers then this is semi moot but still might be valid if it uses chaining as those chains can get long :-))

Trigger fire in the order they appear in the Settings Editor. To move a trigger, select it and the click on either the Up or Down button in the top-right of the Settings Editor window. Make sure that View|Sort By|None is selected.

so this is really cumbersome to organize when you have a ton of triggers :(

anyway there could be a priority added to the trigger object?

then any trigger that does not have a priority ges "default" priority and those that use the new funtionality get inserted into the list with that priority. along with the class priority and over riding stuff there :-)

seems like a great feature to have.

You can also drag and drop the triggers to the position you want them. Drag and dropping them would involve no more steps than settings a prority for the triggers.

In fact, drag and drop is less steps - assuming you have 10 triggers priority 1 to 10 and decide to put a new one at position 4 - you now have to renumber positions 4 to 10. Drag and drop, one step, all priorities now correct

Actually, in tintin, you didn't have to renumber the order, it would just process all the #4 priority triggers before the #5+ priority triggers. As to how it prioritized the triggers with the same priority number, I have no clue.

Does this also apply to moving buttons (drag n dropping) to place the order of buttons?

Thank you for everything, it's always appreciated.

Yes, unless you have specified a position as opposed to default
