newbie...#cap

I have attempted to filter the gossip channel and a couple others to private windows using #cap. I used the command line once (#cap gossip) then used the settings editor to define a trigger :

<gossip>

#cap gossip
#gag

I am actually seeing the text appear twice in the new window. Is there a way to correct this?

Do you have a hint on grabbing both lines of gossip if there are two but not grabbing garbage if there are not?

Thanks in advance.

Try this one:
#tr {<gossip>} {#cap gossip}
It should work.

it is not that what I have does not work. it actually works a little to well.
#tr {<gossip>} {#CAP gossip}
will simply make it three appearances of the text in the window. I want to know how to ensure that it is only displayed once.

Check your settings file to see if you have an extra trigger (assuming that when you used both methods you created NEW triggers instead of hunting down the existing trigger). If there is one, you need to delete or otherwise disable it.
