New Beta Problem

The client said to use the Beta forum but I can't get into it so I went here. I installed the new 6.31 beta and lost all my characters/muds/triggers/alias'...well the works. How do I get that back? I tried the earlier version thing, but none of my characters or anything come back. Please help if you can, thanks.

The golden rule to using beta software it to *ALWAYS* backup your files. That being said, here is what you do:
1.Go to the zmud directory and check to make sure your character and settings files are still there(they should be in a folder with your muds name on it, IE C:ZMUDMyMud).If they aren't, and you didnt back them up, you can stop reading here. There is nothing you can do. Sorry.
2.If your character settings are still there, then open zmud and make a new character.Then connect to your mud and select Setting->Load...find your old character settings and hit enter. |
