Comments on the web site? |
I'm playing around with some new ideas on the main page of the website (http://www.zuggsoft.com/ ) I'd be interested in any feedback, comments, or suggestions that anyone has. Thanks.
(And no, zMUD isn't available in a box or CD-ROM (yet :). But apparently, having a picture of a box sells more product)

I think it's a good idea, although a more realistic fake-box picture would probably LOOK better (probably won't affect sales though). Could also mislead people in to thinking that it IS a CD-ROM.

Heh I like it. That concept looks realer if that is a word.
It probably will move product.

Besides the box looking way too fat for a regular CD software box, its cool, just put a really really really small disclaimer saying
"Zmud software is not available on CD just yet."
or something chessy like that

Yeah, it had to be a bit fat for the name of the program to fit on the side :)
I've added a disclaimer to the actual Order pages that remind people there is no box or CD-ROM. Hopefully that is enough. I talked to another software author that does something similar, and he said he's never gotten any negative feedback or complaints about it.

It looks good. I almost felt compelled to purchase another copy of the software. :)
