The best way I have found is:

A) If there is a tracking or hunt skill in your mud, make a button to autohunt/autotrack that mob, and when it finds it,make a #TELEPORT for the room that the mob is in. The mob has to be stationary.

B) Make all the rooms in the maze exitless. Then make the room names trigger #TELEPORT commands, to the designated rooms.

Thats about all you can do.

My tactic for those was to not map them. I would create a single room, for each different roomname in the maze, with each exit being a loopback to that room. Then in the room script I would put triggers for the different names with teleports to the right room. Anytime I wanted to walk through I would make a trail of mushrooms, the mud had a create food spell, and manually record on paper each room as a number based on how many mushrooms I left there. Those random mazes tend to be small.
