I don't know about the right-click menus which aren't attached to buttons, but those that are attached to a button will not auto-refresh. To get the updates to said menu to appear, you need to do something to the button such as delete it and remake it.
If you use variables in the value section of the menu, then you can simply work with the variable to load in your textfile and the menu should correctly display the results automatically.
