Lag or Commands stuttering |
I have this problem when I type in commands on the command line It sometimes just stalls and stops working then a few seconds later it catches up. This just recently started happening any ideas how to cure it would be helpful.

What stops working? Does the letter stop appearing for a while in the command line when typing them in the keyboard? Or are you able to send the command but they don't appear in the output window for a while? Does the MUD output pause too? Is this truly random or does it appear to happen after/before some event or with some other condition?

I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I've noticed that if I keep zmud busy enough, it won't update properly. For example, a prompt won't be shown when it's supposed to because I'm in a #wait or a line won't be colored on time or something.
In fact, zmud doesn't seem to fire until the text is the third line up, unless I recieve a prompt when I'm trying to color words. I imagine this is the case for most of the triggers, but the results aren't so visible. Any idea why that's happening?

When I type something in the command line it just doesnt appear the cursor stops blinking and its as if someone hit the pause button on zmud then a few seconds later it all flips through and catches up.

Seems like something is consuming a lot of processing power that doesn't let you keep typing properyl. You might want to try using a blank settings file for a while and see if it still happens. If it still happens, then it must be something external to zMUD, if it stops happening, then it could be some trigger or other setting that you have that is causing this.
dracx:
Using #WAIT inside a trigger will pause MUD output in version 6.16
