I don't know if anything was posted before, but i couldn't find any.

The high regen room where i regen at has a torch that cackles every few seconds, and its annoying to see a screen filled up with that echo. I tried to use the #gag command, but it just produces a blank line instead of the actual echo, which also is annoying.

I was wondering if there was a way to gag the line and make it so it doesn't send a blank line either. Thanks for you help in advance.

I am guessing you currently have something like:
#TR {torch cackles irritatingly.} {#GAG}
If I am right then all you have to do is make one little change:
#TR {torch cackles irritatingly.$} {#GAG}
