How do I transfer my registration? |
I have zmud 6.16 on my main system. I'm going to be leaving for awhile, and I'm taking my laptop with me, the main computer is staying home. HOw do I transfer my registration on the big system to the laptop? When I registered, "nothing happened", i.e. I didn't get any type of email or notice or anything saying registration has occured, or that I have some secret password now for registering. Basically, the only way I know that my registration went through is that zMud stopped asking if I wanted to register (several months ago)
so, is there a file somewhere I have to transfer or...what? thanks everyone. |

You get three computer licenses, so you are probably fine to just register it on the laptop. (From the way you describe your registration process, I assume you're a relatively new user and haven't yet either renewed licenses or installed on multiple computers).
If you have installed on multiple machines, you may have to unlicense your desktop first.
The elicense FAQ explains just about everything:

If you have a zMUD icon on your desktop, right-click on it. Select the eLicense Control menu. Choose Product Receipt. About the third line from the bottom, it should say Order ID. Write down the number.
Install zMUD on your laptop, connect to the Internet, and start zMUD. When the dialogue comes up, select the option to register. Type in the Order ID.
If eLicense says that all licenses are in use when you do this, you will need to unlicense your desktop (or other computer you are using it on), otherwise you would only unlicense to prevent other people from using it in your absence.
