Terminal Services -- error 23 when running Zmud |
I'm trying to get around our firewall at work and modified Terminal Services to run on port 80 so I can talk to my box at home. This works great... however, I cannot run Zmud -- it gives me an error 23 unable to get license. What's the issue? My home PC can talk out on any port -- any ideas?

I noticed when I tried to register my copy of Zmud at home because I had my regkey here at work that it wasn't enabled for Remote Connections. So it sounds like possibly something that is disabled in the elicense.

Unless you've got the latest beta version of zMUD, the elicense software does not support Terminal Services connections or Fast User Switching.

Fast-user switch is supported, but Terminal Services is *not* supported, and never will be. There are hacks that break eLicense when Terminal Services are enabled because of the way Microsoft choose to implement terminal services.
The only way that I've heard to use Terminal Services is to use some other program like the free VNC program to connect to the remote machine and start zMUD running there. Then you can connect to the already running system and use zMUD remotely via Terminal Services.
