Things that kill the mapper?

Howdy

I finally figured out why my mapper suddenly quits mapping all the time. If I set up a #CAP trigger, as soon as the capture window pops up, mapper is dead. Same if I open up the zmud preferences. Probably quite a few other things do this as well,
as often as it happens to me, but those two do it consistently.

The fix is to stop and restart zmud. But I can't have capture windows up at all, ever, if I want the mapper to work.
Both 6.16 and 6.24 seem to behave the same way.

Am I the only one? Known problem? Is there a fix?

I should clarify that follow mode works with the capture windows. Map mode does nothing whatsoever until the capture window is removed (along with triggers, lest it return) and zmud is restarted.
