random dir and kills mobiles and starts all over again. im really trying
to impove on this bot. i woudl liek somethign that doesnt go off in a room with no mobs in it it looks till it finds some kills then and goes on without sending up warnings to the imms .I havnt coded in quite a many years and have forgot most of the basics. so my question is do any of you or anybody you know have a good bot i can have to look at or use :P maybe try

News 4 j00... not everyone plays "godwars type of mud" therefore.. it would be rather difficult to give any sort of idea to you on how to get an "exp bot" I would post individual problems you are encountering and try to work out the easier more mud-specific stuff on your own. After that, if you are stumped on a problem, post it. Don't expect someone to do all the work for you for free, exp bots are honed down and mud-specific and take generally hours to do and are usually area specific as well.

right right i understand abotu all that and bots take time :P i woudl just liek to see a good example of a bot so i can try to improve it to my needs for an example imagine a big area say 8 x 8 to kill mobs in.
but not all rooms have mobs and the mobs migrate i just need a bot thats smart to go into a room see if anything is there if not move on if so kill it then move on but im not to sure on how to build it. i have a bot now that randomly goes in a dir and attacks anything in the room. also it runs in to the side walls alot since it is random. if anybody can show me how to correct this it would help thanks for the reply though

What You would wanna do as far as not running into walls is make a trigger for your exits and then store them into your direction variable that goes at random.
As far as the killin whats in the room, the only thing I can think of is to put the description for whatever u wanna kill as a trigger and then kill "mob", I've tried running an exp bot before in a newbie battleground and again in a low level levelling area, but the problem with that is that there were people in the rooms with the mob already about to attack the mob, and by the time the command was sent to the mud.. they already attacked it and then I was reported to the Imms. If you play on a mud with few people you shouldnt have to worry about this. I havent really found a bot that would seek out only any mob name and kill it, without wanting to kill people too. Another thing to do is with the mob name triggers, make them make a variable set to 1 and when you kill a mob set the variable to 0. When you do this you can do an IF check to see whether @ismob = 1 then "k %1" otherwise "random direction" You get what I'm saying. Hope this helps u a wee bit anyways. I'm not sure how the IF then statements work in Zmud.. I've been off for about 3 weeks. Anymore problems just post them :)
