just what to hear if it is possible to gag parts of a linie like:

HP 345/345 SP:300/300 ROOMS:3884 GOLD:199990>

make it apeer like this

HP 345/345 SP:300/300>

The #SUBSTITUTE command is the tool to use here.




#TR {HP (%d)/(%d) SP:(%d)/(%d) ROOMS:%d GOLD:%d~>} {#SUBST {HP %1/%2 SP:%3/%4>}} "prompt"

make a new trigger, have the pattern as:

HP (%d)~/(%d) SP:(%d)~/(%d) ROOMS:(%d) GOLD:(%d)~>

then have the command as:

#ECHO HP %1/%2 SP:%3/%4

i made that trigger, then echo'd the line you had in your post, and it worked for me.

is there anywhere to "speed" up the sub.
it show
HP 970/970 SP: 2295/2295 ROOMS:5343 GOLD:400000>
then it change to
HP 970/970 SP:2295/2295>
anyway to keep it from showing the long line?

You can perhaps try using #CR, but that will probably bring up another prompt line. Other than that, #SUB and #GAG both wait for the next input/output line (from any point, I believe) before enacting changes.
