CMUD / Windows 10 Sound

I've searched the forums and thus far, nothing has solved my issue.

I can't get #play or #beep (#) to work. i can get #BEEP 16 to work but that's it. I have wav files i'd like to play on certain events but no luck so far. Is this some mythical Win 10 setting, i'm missing?

Its a deep crimson colored cloak, so dark it's almost black.
[crimson-> #CW purple
#PLAY C:\Users\toetag\zmud\extras\alarm.wav]

i can see it firing but nothing plays.

any suggestions?

That closing square bracket at the end might be part of the issue, try:

#PLAY "C:\Users\toetag\zmud\extras\alarm.wav"

As for the #BEEP issue, it is the same on my end, 1-15 are just the stock #BEEP.

@GURU

I'm pretty sure I tried it with the parens but I'll give it a try again this afternoon after the work day is done and report back.

the [] is just a wrapper the debug puts around the output.

the trigger was the word "crimson", then it had two tasks, color it purple and play a sound.

The only other thing that comes to mind is double-checking the full path name.

crimson
[crimson-> #CW purple
#PLAY "C:\Users\toetag\zmud\extras\alarm.wav"]

No sound. :( If I put the file path listed in the "search bar", it opens up the media player and plays the file, so the path is correct. I'm guessing it's windows 10 setting that needs to allow an app to use the sound system. I'll keep checking. Appreciate the help
