Zmud help files unsupported by windows 7 |
Hello everyone,
I know that windows 7 is not meant to support zmud, and zmud is not meant to run on windows 7.
After microsoft patches windows 7 to support help files made for windows xp, I should be able to view zmud help files on my windows 7 PC.
right now that is not the case:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607
any work-around available? |

The workaround would be to view the help files here on the website.

For anyone else who has this issue:
For Windows 7 you may be able to download "WinHlp32.exe for Windows 7" from Microsoft.
For Windows 10, I would personally suggest WinHlp32 for Windows 10 from MajorGeeks. Unfortunately you won't be able to open the hlp file from within zmud or via #HELP. ZMUD.HLP is in the same folder Zmud is located. You'll have the same old experience (minus easy-access from within zmud) and search functionality. |
