zmud died, reinstalled, died again yesterday but worked today
 
I'm using windows 10 on a pc. After a few attempts failed to open zmud I reinstalled it, having deleted it. I had to set prefs again. It worked for a week and yesterday I got the same fail. It had some database problems. But today it works...Is there a known problem at the moment?

zMUD is a legacy product, there are no guarantees it will work on modern hardware.
That said, there are no known issues with it currently.
It is entirely possible that your settings are getting corrupted if you keep using old save files of code.
