cMud 3 Pro vs TeSSH |
Dead beat here coming to life. My dirt bag college days are over and I'm finally repaying Zugg by buying a license or two of his software that I've been mooching for years (sorry Zugg, and thank you!).
I'm having a hard time telling the difference between TeSSH and cMud 3 Pro.
Tell me what I've got wrong here:
- cMud3 Pro is cMud3 with added SSH support
- in theory eventually some sort of advances mapper functions will be added to cMud 3 Pro
- many SSH features like tunneling aren't in cMud3 Pro
- TeSSH doesn't have a mapper b/c it's intended as a sys admin tool
I do log hours with an SSH client too and while the idea of having mud client trigger and multi-window support sounds like endless possibilities of fun, I can't quite think of how I'd take advantage of that.
Any crazy people try to use the mapper to do something like build a directory tree?
Any other big things I'm missing? |

The only thing wrong I see is that anything more will be added to CMUD, or any Zuggsoft product at this point.
Development is done as Zugg has moved on to Drupal.
That said.... I'm not that familiar with TeSSH to be able to say if it can do anything that CMUD Pro can't. |

Drupal? The web site content mgmt system?? He's on the dev team or using it as a web dev for another co?
Kinda odd; such deep knowledge of internet app protocols like telnet and ssh seems like a waste on a web dev team.
Surely pays better than shareware dev for muds though.
Maybe he'll come back some day. Regardless, he's written some great software that I owe him for. |
