Setting Default Door name to direction if door name isn't set |
Hi everyone,
I would like to use the Map Properties -> Strings and Doors ->Default door name if %2 is not set to send the door direction if the name is not set. I.E. instead of door, put %1 and done.
The problem is I have encountered a room where all 4 cardinal exits are named "doors" so door names aren't going to help. When I put %1 in nothing is output. The open command appears with no name or direction and then the movement command shows up.
I am using CMud 3.34 |

Had you though of being more specific?
On the individual exits in the room properties window there is a place where you can give an alternate name for this specific door.
Make that into "green door" or "door 3" or whichever works to better specify which door you mean.
Alternately, you can bypass the door code and use the name label of the individual exit to store the commands needed to use that exit/door.
Just untoggle the fact that it is a door if you do so, so it doesn't sent the extra commands (if any). |
