CMUD Pro 3.34 / Windows Establishing Network Connections |
So...In my primary session, I have three different session windows that I use.
1) Generic - For all mud output
2) Tells - Grabs player-to-player communication from the game and displays just this content to the window, also extracts data and stores communication to a database
3) Probes - Grabs player snoops (I'm a developer/wizard) and displays to this window, where it won't interfere with generic game interface.
Now, I have windows #2 and #3 set to "No network connection." Despite my best efforts over the last several years, they seem to automagically every few weeks, with seemingly little predictability, change to "Use main session network connection." As a result, my other two windows are constantly trying to connect to the MUD, with a timeout to the MUD server and tons of unnecessary spam. Any ideas on how to fix this or how it is caused? I tried checking inside the options for %pref(), but nothing seemed to catch my eye. |

You have data corruption. See the sticky for details on how to work it out.

Ah, I figured it was something like that. I'll have to try my skills at following directions to fix it. Thanks.
