Going crazy here... what's wrong with this?

I've been helping a friend with a script these past couple of weeks. In an effort to make it better, I suggested she use "#SLOW" in place of %pop(path). I successfully converted her scripts over to the new format, and tested it on my machine. Worked flawlessly. I move it over to hers and... that's when the feces hit the fan.

For the most part, the script works. However, her #SLOW command seems to be very broken. Where I can do:
Code:
#SLOW .2n8hn3ljh3jhkhshs2h5nj3sl4nj5sj3nl3sjnl6n3kjl2s2lsl2nj2njhk2sk3njh5ls2ks2kl2jn3jl3ks2k3jsjnj7sh2nh3sk4nk2sh2n3khsljl2k2hs2l2js2k2hs2l3j3k2s

with no problems, she gets CMUD sending
Code:
2n8hn3ljh3jhkhshs2h5nj3sl4nj5sj3nl3sjnl6n3kjl2s2lsl2nj2njhk2sk3njh5ls2ks2kl2jn3jl3ks2k3jsjnj7sh2nh3sk4nk2sh2n3khsljl2k2hs2l2js2k2hs2l3j3k2s

as a command, and the mud returns:

Code:
There is no reason to '2n8hn3ljh3jhkhshs2h5nj3sl4nj5sj3nl3sjnl6n3kjl2s2lsl2nj2njhk2sk3njh5ls2ks2kl2jn3jl3ks2k3jsjnj7sh2nh3sk4nk2sh2n3khsljl2k2hs2l2js2k2hs2l3j3k2s' here.

I've checked to see if English Keypad and Directions were installed. They are. I've checked the individual directions to ensure they work. They do. I've checked Special Characters to ensure that "." is enabled as movement character. It is. I've re-installed CMUD. I transferred her settings to my machine in an effort to determine if any of her settings are interfering. They aren't. I've compared settings files (mapper, settings, and the MUD settings) to determine any differences. The ones there are not relevant.

So, what am I missing? Why am I able to use #SLOW on my machine, but she cannot?

Edit: I should have mentioned this...

She can do
Code:
#SLOW .2n8hn3ljh3jhkh

but not
Code:
#SLOW .2n8hn3ljh3jhkhs

So, again, what's wrong?

Edit 2: Again, I should have mentioned this...

She's using CMUD 3.34. Granted, I'm using CMUDPro 3.34, but that shouldn't cause #SLOW to not work in one and work in the other.

Curious. What happens when she does:
Code:

#SHOW %pathexpand("2n8hn3ljh3jhkh")
#SHOW %pathexpand("2n8hn3ljh3jhkhs")

It properly expands the first, but not the second, like so:

Code:
n|n|h|h|h|h|h|h|h|h|n|l|l|l|j|h|j|j|j|h|k|h
2n8hn3ljh3jhkhs

Hmm, did another re-install, deleting the CMUD program files folder, and re-installed. This time, it worked... So very odd. Still wonder what caused it.

Sounds like the English Directions package was corrupted (or the south direction, at the very least).
