setting borders

I can set the colour of a room automatically depending what type it is, but is there a way of setting a border? I want to put a border 2 wide around anything that is indoors when I survey the location so it would be triggered by 'You are indoors'.

Only way to do this is via SQL, and anything you do in this vein will both not show up until you restart CMud but could potentially cause AVs or having your SQL-made changes overwritten because those changes are not yet in memory.
