Zmud is done, yes. It will stay alive and working until Microsoft changes the inner workings of the Windows OS to such a degree that you cannot even open ZMud anymore, so your choices will be to not upgrade the OS or to upgrade to CMud (should you wish to stay with the zuggsoft community). Even if that point is still 50 years away and Zugg has to hand off Zuggsoft.com to a trusted friend or heir, Zmud will not receive anymore updates.
CMud is not done, but Zuggsoft.com can no longer support Zugg and Chiara as the primary means of income. As such, Zugg has taken a job at a Washington, D.C. area programming firm that apparently is super successful. Unfortunately, this means Zugg is now really busy with real-life projects dumped on him by the boss(es) and at last contact he was looking for an assistant to pitch in and lighten his workload a little. In effect, Zugg is now in the same position as Nick Gammon and is hobbying on CMud in his spare time. |

I do hope that there is some hope for some kind of CMUD update yet... I love the client, I love the things I can do with it, but I've been feeling pretty frustrated with stability and other issues as well. I'd be glad to contribute whatever information would make it easier for Zugg.
Just kind of a bummer that I just recently bought the client to find that there are serious unresolved issues, and potentially not much hope for updates based on the last year. |

I'm surprised you say that, v3.34 is actually very stable compared to previous versions. Feel free to start new threads about any issues you're having, perhaps we can help resolve them - it could just be a minor configuration problem or something.

The stability of CMud version 3.34 is on par with the latest version of MushClient, by far the best competition to CMud. If you are experiencing otherwise, you definitely have data corruption.

Oh, I definitely have data corruption. The problem is the export/import tricks aren't helping. Reimporting just gets things corrupted all over again, even on a fresh reinstall of CMUD.
I'm re-writing a lot of code right now, seeing if my sloppy styles influenced things... storing it all in text files for not-quite-as-easy reimport later... |
