There's a couple possibilities. If that's really the way you want to do it, then you could give the second trigger (the one that looks for the word "and") a lower priority than the first trigger so it fires first, and also set it to disallow any further parsing when it fires.

On the other hand, are you certain that's what you want to do with this? Are you doing completely different things if there is a single target versus when there are multiple? Or do you simply want to be able to capture each X1, X2, X3, etc? If so, that could be done with a single trigger. If you give more detail about what you are actually doing with these triggers, we could help figure that out.
