My xp / time tracking system stores current xp info every n seconds, and stores it to a database. To prevent this database from getting unnecessarily large, I have the following line in an OnConnect event to clear it:
#REPEAT %numrec("All", xp) {#DBDELETE %concat(%eval(%i-1), "xp")}
This works sometimes, but not always. In particular, it seems to work the first couple times after the database is created, then stop working.
Any thoughts? |

No help? I'd try to get some official support for this, using support@zuggsoft.com, but my last 2 missives to that address, sent 4 business days ago, have not elicited replies. What happened to 48 hour tech support?

Have you ever though of using a database variable instead?
You can set the default value to %null, then you can clear it at any time with #RESET.
I have a good example of this available in the package library under Discworld. (It goes on to show how much xo earned in various increments over the last session, displayed in the status window)

Yep, I have. I've been working on exactly that. Thanks for the suggestion though.
And Shalimar, log on more often will ya? I'd like to learn some skills from you.
