Mapper 'other' exits

I've try searching for this so sorry if its been asked, I either couldn't find it or didnt understand the the %roomlink-portal command good enough.
What am trying to do is:
1:create 1 way link
2:create 'other' links in a direction I want.
Example:
The Plains(s, path)
I want to create a room in the mapper leading 1 room to a room north of it using the direction reading as other 'path' and make it either 1 way or not
I want to create it using the command line instead of opening room properties/exits and manually typing it in, cause theres a bunch of swim (direction) I also plan on adding. |

just use the normal north link and edit the name field in room properties exit tab to be the acutual exit command

Is that the only way? I didnt want to do that for a possible 1000+ rooms

That is the most efficient method I have found.
Yea, takes a bit of time to make the initial map, still saves time for every repeat visit. |

Yea, gonna take a bunch of time.. last question and I hope its possible, in the mapper in the 'other' can you set its as a variable?
Say I want 'other' to be 'test1'
Can I make @test1 somehow and just set the value? |

You can. Just put @test1 in the Other Com field.
