script items moved outside windows?

Hi,

I have a moderately large script, some 300-600 settings in there. and what seems like randomly items will jump from in a class folder in one window, to the root directory outside any window. this breaks things, as you might imagine. What does this? Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? i have 2 windows, the main window, and a tell window. I'm running cMUD V3.32, on windows xp, though I had the same issue on vista.

thanks in advance for any insight you may have on this, and I apologize if all I need is a pointer to the correct thread. also, if you need any more information please ask.

Package corruption. CMud suffered from some sort of crash or Access Violation during the middle of writing to a datafile, causing an improper format. The only way to fix this is to export your file to XML, delete the old file, create a new file, and import the XML back into it.

Keep in mind that other sources of corruption might also be to blame, and if this is the case then a simple import/export of the symptom file won't really fix anything:

1)system-provided package files (ClickableURLs.pkg, EnglishDirections.pkg, etc)
2)layout files (.xly)
3)toolbar files (.tbr)
4)session database files (sessions.db, sessionkeys.db)
5)map files (.dbm)
6)config files (.cfg, .zfg, .ini)
