[3.32] Importing scripts from [2.37] - problem with window's locating |
Hello,
There is a problem with (re)locating windows during opening scripts from 2.37. It makes me mad, when I set all of windows location in 3.32, and after reseting session(turn off, turn on the cmud prog) all is in mess like at the start of working. I don't know what is going on, but after upgrading from 2.37, there was a crash. So, scripts were imported thru the xml files from the 2.37 version to 3.32. Everything would be great, if I could set the windows position as my favourite. |

Window layouts are stored separately from your scripts/settings. The window layout is in the *.XLY file. There were significant changes in the window and toolbar docking system between 2.37 and 3.32 that might require you to reset your layout. But once you reset your layout, then it should continue to work fine.
If your window layout is not saving, be sure your user session files are being saved to the My Documents\My Games\CMUD directory. Look in the subdirectory for your MUD session name and see if the Modified Date on the sessionname.xly file is getting updated.
Be sure the "Auto Save Layout" option in the Layout menu is enabled, and also go to the Edit Session and Package Files tab and make sure the "Use Layout" option is enabled. |

The problem solved. Thanks Zugg for your advices. It was because of an option chosen during installation. I had located MUD files in cMud's main directory like I did previously with ver 2.37 . In 3.32 ver it doesn't want to work :/ I have just reinstalled cMud and located files in directory you wrote, and all works fine. Thanks!
